How to register with Pag-IBIG
Pag-IBIG Fund (the Home Development Mutual Fund) is a government savings program that funds affordable housing loans and short-term loans, and pays annual dividends on your savings. Registering is free and gives you a Pag-IBIG MID (Membership ID) number, now done online through Virtual Pag-IBIG. This checker shows the requirements and steps for your membership type.
Contributions and benefits
The standard contribution is a minimum of ₱200 a month. For employed members that's split ₱100 from you and ₱100 from your employer; self-employed and voluntary members pay the full amount. Your savings earn tax-free dividends each year, and membership makes you eligible for Pag-IBIG housing loans, multi-purpose loans, and the MP2 voluntary savings program.
Membership types
- Employed — contributions shared with your employer.
- Self-employed / voluntary — you pay the full contribution and can save more.
- OFW — register and pay from abroad to keep saving.
FAQ
Is there a registration fee?
No. Getting a Pag-IBIG MID number is free; you only set aside your monthly contributions, which are your own savings plus dividends.
Can I save more than the minimum?
Yes. You can contribute above ₱200, and the MP2 (Modified Pag-IBIG 2) program lets you save extra for typically higher dividend rates over a 5-year term.
I already have a MID number — do I register again?
No. Keep your single MID number for life. If your status changed, just update your membership type rather than creating a new account.
